Only one lunch, but I think I’ll call this a neighborhood gem. They have an €18.50 two-course lunch menu. I heard no English, and there appeared to be quite a few regulars. Service was warm & friendly.
Sorry, when my husband said he got a picture of the menu, I thought he meant a legible one! I’m posting it anyway for the cuteness factor. That was one big pup!
For the formule, there were two choices for entrées: leeks vinaigrette & pumpkin soup; and two choices for plats: ceviche & gratin dauphinois with oyster mushrooms. We rarely order the same thing, but it was freezing outside! So soup & ooey gooey potatoes & mushrooms x 2.
The soup could have been warmer, imo, but it was deliciously silky & tasty. And the croutons, yum, nice crunch.
I never had gratin dauphinois as a main before, so I was curious about what we would get. I was thrilled to see the salad, which had a touch of sesame oil. The gratin was popping hot, and so warming. Talk about sticking to ribs. But I tried to remind myself it was a vegetarian lunch, so it couldn’t be all bad. ![]()
I would happily return here, despite the somewhat uncomfortable chairs.
