We are super-sad to say that LiMA Peruvian restaurant in Concord, has closed as of Dec. 31, 2024. We have always loved John Marquez’s food, both French (Artisan Bistro/Lafayette) and Peruvian (LiMA) and were happy to follow him when he closed down Artisan to open LiMA - both offered great food, well-trained staff, moderate prices.
We made a reservation for one last lunch as soon as we heard about the impending closure. We feasted on a terrific (and generous) meal. We also ordered take-out and sadly said good-bye to staff.
Marquez became very discouraged after a five year purgatory of settling a lawsuit over LiMA offering a Ladies’ Nite. He has absolutely no plans to open a future eatery. Yet another loss of a classically trained, talented French chef, sigh.
LiMA was located at 2151 Salvio St., Todos Santos Plaza, Concord
