Playska is open in Inman Square as of last week. I plan on trying it out later this week. The menu (http://playska.com/) looks really good.
Eater reports that Parsnip in Harvard Square opens tomorrow in the former Upstairs on the Square space. Looks like they did a nice job with the space from the photos. I’ll definitely stop in for a drink, though the menu doesn’t really move me at first glance.
I had a meeting in Kendall the other day. I stopped Cinderella’s, which was an old standby of mine when I worked in that area. I was shocked to see their new space, completely transformed into a casual sit down restaurant including a nice, and large, bar that appeared to be well stocked. They had a menu that seemed a bit more upscale, but produced what looked like the old paper menu from behind the hostess stand so I could order a sub to go. A few quick phone pics of the space are attached. The atmosphere seemed very nice. I’m interested to hear if the food has been elevated slightly to match.
