Ciasa Mia, 5

A new find for me is Ciasa Mia on a side street a stone’s throw from the Pantheon. Cozy and charming room run by a couple from the Dolomites. We had a 5 course menu at 85e, wine pairing at 55e. A few dishes were a potato rose with smoked salmon and a light horseradish cream, tartlette of mushrooms sweet onion and parmesan foam. Corn gnocchi with spinach and paprika parmesan crumbles. Main was lamb loin smoked with hay from the Dolomites. Stellar dessert of caramelized parsnip julienne with a vanilla and yogurt sphere topped with Bergamot sorbet. The quality of ingredients was very good and they certainly took pride in the preparation and execution.
