I have only had Moldovan food in Toronto. I had borscht and pelmeni. Can’t remember what else.
Lately, I ask questions on Reddit when HO doesn’t have much on the topic.

I had the same idea re Reddit and found some good ideas there, but you guys are the pros! I’m familiar with the cuisine. What I’m looking for are recommendations for specific places - cafes, restaurants, whatever. Doesn’t need to be Moldovan cuisine. Anything good is fine.

I’d visit the Grand Hotel. I always visit The Grand Hotel whenever I see one. 
It has a restaurant but the menu isn’t posted on the website.
I also like to check out the old fashioned coffee houses whenever I visit Central EU or Eastern EU.
I’m hoping some Hounds who have visited will give you more ideas.
