A family member has the Stagg EKG and it works very well. It does make a difference with a gaiwan and multiple pours. The temperature is always perfect and it’s nice to have everyone stay at the table and not have to get up to reheat the kettle.

No. I mean. Someone did give me a Stagg electric kettle with precision temperature, but I broke it. I most use a Zojirushi kettle (not the one you are talking about).

I do think having some control of temperature is good. Teas absolutely will taste different by breweing at different temperature, but I just use Yuzamashi

I ended up getting one during the Prime Day sales, since they had decent discounts of some of the kettles with temperature control. I decided on the Cocinare Flow (pic below). I have only used this to clean out the insides and haven’t tried brewing my fancier teas yet. Seems fast, and easy to use, but it’s temperature control tops out at 200F.
