China Live (partly) opens tomorrow, benefit preview tonight.

If you are someone like me who is on too many mail lists, you already know that China Live, the ambitious product of George Chen (Shanghai 1930, Long Life Noodle, Betelnut) opens, at least partially, tomorrow night in the heavily renovated Gold Mountain Dim Sum space.

According to Tablehopper, it’s the first floor that’s opening, which, I believe, is where the “public market” aspect of the project will be. That’s the part that most interests me.

There’s a benefit preview tonight for $125. I actually bought a ticket, but canceled when an Eventbrite update email advised that “business or cocktail” attire was requested. (Who wants to get shengjian bao grease on their Moe Ginsburg?) A hat tip to Eventbrite, though, for processing my refund request within seconds.
