I’m wondering if there is a place they can grow mangosteen in China. Seems like all the rest they have the climate (mangoes are grown in Hainan). Not sure if Hainan and Yunnan get too cold in the winter.

They look like Peruvian pepino melons.
Some out of season fruits being sold there. Probably imported from Thailand? And the out of season durian is also probably imported from Thailand. They have durian year round in Thailand because they resort to artificial pollination method.
Some durian flavoured snacks in Malaysia have “not Thai durian!” printed on the packaging. Malaysia rejects Thai durian for being inferior. Durian requires very specific natural conditions to produce fruit and is highly seasonal.
