Fans of Indian food may already be familiar with Chili’s in the U District. They were forced out of their previous location due to construction and have re-opened several block south on the Ave.
I was pretty bummed to find that they are not offering their a la carte menu during lunch. Luckily the buffet was hot and delicious with fluffy naan, spicy chicken and dal, and lots of that delicious green herb chutney.
So, still good and very warm and friendly, but if you’re looking for dosa you’ll need to wait until late afternoon.
