The Goose Island Brewpub at 1800 N. Clybourn Ave. will close after service on January 8th for major renovations. They expect to reopen in late spring/early summer 2017 with chef Paul Virant consulting on a revamped menu.
In related news, Paul Virant left Perennial Virant at 1800 N. Lincoln Ave. as of January 1st. The owners of the restaurant (The Boka Group) have closed the space for reconcepting and expect to open a new restaurant in the in the space this spring.
