Again, today, in The Guardian. Turns out they did give some away and also destroy some. Should have given it all away, it’s terrible to waste food let alone that much. Every fleeced taxpayer should have got some, too. France is the single biggest receiver of EU subsidies under “Common Agricultural Policy” (to the tune of over 60 billion euros each year!).
