**" Casa Deluz " - Revisiting a new-found favourite and trying out a few more new dishes.**

Impressed by the kitchen’s skill, execution and fine wok-hay dishes from our previous visits. To our menu tonight, in addition to a few new found favourites, we added the following previously untried dishes:

  • Deep fried giant pork spare-ribs with spicy, sweet plum sauce glaze paired with spongy Chinese donuts.
  • Wok fried 4 pound lobsters with aromatic Maggi based sauce

Both dishes were well executed and tasty, though the lobster’s preparation was less spectacular and tasty than ‘Starchiva’ and ‘O’Mei’s’ versions. Price per pound of around $25 was quite reasonable. The ribs were crispy, nicely chewy and deliciously dressed with the sweet/tangy yummy sauce…lip smacking and finger-licking-good. Pity, there wasn’t a lot of meat to them!

For wine, we consumed and thoroughly enjoyed a 2 decades ‘Century old vines’ Rotllan Torra Priorat…Inky purple with spectacular bouquet of black currents and berries. Intense yet elegant with long finish. Very special, deserving Robert Parker’s high 98 pts rating!
