I didn’t see them grayed out, can you show a screen capture to illustrate?

You need to start a topic in either the wine subcategory or the Other Drink subcategory.

thanks, figured it out, I do think the site (or my laptop) was glitchy, It seemed to be alternating between start draft and new topic everytime I refreshed my browser window.
