Cafe d'Alsace, Manhattan does justice to bistro cuisine...

I have visited Café d’Alsace on 88th & 2nd many times and I have to commend Chef Roussel’s consistency in the kitchen. Most recently last weekend for brunch with my family. So good! Nothing like hearty French bistro fare, in this case influenced by the Alsatian region.
They serve a delicious burger, mine with Gruyere and caramelized onions. The omelets I tasted as we passed around were delicious with their servings of rosemary home fried potatoes, a big tasty Croque Monsieur, and my granddaughter approved of her crepe with strawberries. Now that it is getting cooler, I look forward to enjoying their Choucroute Garni and incredible Baeckeofe, too…

Thanks.

Do they have traditional Alsatian fare like tarte flambee? I am curious how those are if they have them.

I have enjoyed their fruit tarts over the years, but not flambéed…
