The once-upscale Indian restaurant, Michelin-starred Rasa has reopened at its original 209 Park Road, Burlingame address after a two-year closure. Menu has changed to be similar to the owners’ more casual restaurant Saffron in San Carlos.
I was not crazy about Saffron on a visit there about … 1.5 years ago (?). It was fine but the atmosphere was a bit stiff, and the food wasn’t as bold or inventive as I’ve come to expect with much-closer-to-me Rooh or Ettan or SF’s Besharam. (and we now have Varam and Khazana also near to me). Will put Rasa on the list though, will poke through the menu a bit.
