Brothers in Brookline: Great Neighborhood Breakfast-to-Dinner Resto

Having posted about them on the old Chowhound, and hoping to keep them busy so they’ll stay in my “hood” I want to introduce them here particularly to Brookline/Allston folks. Excellent breakfast, lovely fresh food for lunch and dinner, good bar, live music on Thursday and Saturday evenings, and nice folks running the place. Come by for the Mideast eggs in the morning (great poached eggs over peppers and onions with a hint of cumin) and come back for the fish tacos or the super hearty chicken and rice soup. On Harvard Street across from Dok Bua thai restaurant (also a good local joint).

The food is better than I would have expected based on the appearance of the restaurant… unfortunately the appearance of the restaurant makes it kind of unpleasant to eat in there. “Oh, but Moe, the dank. The dank!”

Good to know. For some reason, I just figured it was another Kosher place with yucky food. (Kosher does NOT have to equal yucky, of course, but seems to a lot)
