Bon Appetit names Bobby Flay Editor-in-Chief!

Well, how about this news? Celebrity chef/restaurateur Bobby Flay has been named Editor-in-Chief of Bon Appetit Magazine. Apparently, Rappaport is out. I appreciate Flay and his talent, and I have enjoyed a few of his restaurants, but Editor-In-Chief? Should we congratulate him? What are your thoughts?

Hmm. Well, I have to say I do have a new respect for him as a chef and he seems much less cocky than he used to be. But don’t you need actual publishing experience to be editor in chief? I just read my lastest issue, and it can use an overhaul. I found it very difficult to follow.
