Bombance is in the Marais, close to the Pompidou Center, Hôtel de Ville, and Musée Carnavalet, among others. It provides high-quality food and an exceptional value 23/28€ lunch menu. My review is here.
Wow! Literally around the corner from my flat. Is it recently opened? Is it where Claude Colliot was? Thinking that must be it! Anyway, thanks for the review!
Yes, I believe it is the old Claude Colliot location. Opening was in August of last year.
Just shows how unaware I am! Probably walked by it dozens of times since then…will pay more attention when I am next around.
Another thanks to onzieme for writing this up. We had a terrific lunch here yesterday. This is the dinner menu; the lunch menu is 25€ for 2 courses, €30 for 3, with no choice on the plat. We took the 25€ menu and shared a starter & dessert.
Sorry about the photo quality - it was dark at our cozy table in the back in the corner.
The mushroom tartelette almost brought tears to my eyes, it was so good. Underneath the mushrooms and the creamy yet light cloud of mushroomy goodness was the tart shell. It was crunchy & delicious. Beautiful textures in this dish.
The main was crispy pork with vegetables. As I said to my husband, “not your mama’s breaded pork chop.” The pork was moist, the crust was crispy & not soggy, and the veggies were plentiful.
As much as I love figs, we’ve had them a lot recently so we went for the Mont Blanc. Very decadent. I loved the grapefruit in this dish.
Service was very good. Clientele were mostly tourists, unsurprisingly.
