Black rice . Maybe in a rice salad?

I made some this morning and used it for crab fried rice this evening!

Crab fried rice, using black “forbidden” rice and Peekytoe crab (treated the household to 5lbs of it, frozen, a while back and am working through it as I find recipes deserving of it). I love Pailin Chongchitnant’s website and recipes! [Crab forbidden rice]

We used to make a delicious risotto from forbidden black rice at a restaurant I worked at.

Here’s the " Fruity Black Rice Salad With Cilantro, Avocado, and Pepitas in Chili-Orange Vinaigrette", but I didn’t have cilantro.

I felt compelled to add something red, but couldn’t find dried cranberries nor dried cherries in the pantry.

I tried a a strawberry

Dried fruit would have been better, but it was still good.

Goji berries pairs perfect with forbidden rice.

Almost like peanut butter and jelly. Maybe even better.
