Scariest price I’ve ever seen for sushi:
AYCE for the price of 1 roll? If it was nyc, I’d say avoid. But in Binghamton… I’d try it ![]()
Also – you can just eat cooked stuff, the whole sides section – tempura, hibachi, etc. And the cooked and vegetable rolls.
We’ll be in the area volunteering for a non-profit and with just 40 mins for lunch, probably will opt for spiedies.. I dunno, it is hard to pass up that 50% off deal ![]()
If it’s Vestal, yes. Binghamton, maybe. Endicott, no. Johnson City-- Oh yeah!
Sorry. I went to school there in the mighty Susquehanna Valley.
We usually go to one of the red sauce joints for dinner, looking at the oaks inn if I can get a reservation
Best,
Nice-- as a student-- a dinner at the Hole in the Wall was a grown up date. When parents came to town it was Vestal Steakhouse, or No. 5 usually… I hope you enjoy. I am due for a return visit to the area. It has changed so much since I left in the mid 90s.
I lived on Conklin Avenue across from the late, great Pino’s Restaurant. I lived on their food and some cheap snacks from the Fay’s drugstore there. I also had an active charcoal grill in the living room. A story for another time.
Oh please, do tell!!!
We’ve been coming up this weekend for the last 20 years or so. Used to take the whole family to Phil’s chicken house for ayce Cornell chicken, there’s a good Chinese place (nyc level), and of course, lupos char pit. But not much else.
best,
What’s the Chinese place?
I’ve spent time in Vestal, Endicott and Binghamton, but I’ve never gone for sushi. LOL
My last meal at Chi Chi’s was in the vicinity.
I’ve been to several weddings on my visits. The last wedding banquets 2 had family style meals with pierogi and Italian sausage. Much better food than when my cousin from the same family got married near Potsdam, NY.
That Chi-Chis that was near the Endicott Mall?
Is Sharkey’s still there?
I’m in Binghamton a few times a year and the pickings are so slim that yes I definitely would try this!
I see that it is not.

yep
Has anyone been here?
the special menu at moon star, with the caveat we haven’t been there in 4 years.
i’ve been wanting to go to podlasie for many years but the hours don’t work for us. their blintz looks like the ones we used to get from the kiev diner in the east village.
