Weekend in The Smoke ahead. Have no clue about the BG area so any recs for dinner welcome. Nowhere too fancy or with rich food as we have our ‘big tea out’ on Saturday night and now find that two rich meals on back to back nights mean we don’t enjoy the second one ( when did that happen, by the way ? ).
So a decent Italian/ Greek/ Lebanese/ Mediterranean/ pub or bistro place would be perfect. Happy to tube it a couple of stops if needed but if its walkable from the BG tube area that would be perfect.
Same for Saturday breakfast - somewhere nice but without queues around the block - or even a good bakers/patisserie ‘take out’ place so we can guiltily scoff it in our hotel.
Ach - this looks lovely but no table after 6.15 available - and we will still be schlepping across London at that point… anywhere else similarly calm and delicious ?
I wouldn’t call it calm but there is a branch of Dishoom in nearby Shoreditch? Not sure if they take reservations and Friday nights can be a bit of a scene.
And Needoo Grill isn’t as fancy as Dishoom but better than Tayyabs.
