Making large amounts of confit- I usually get them from Berkeley Bowl West ~$8/lb or 99 Ranch, less. But are there any other places with a good price/quality ratio?
If someone knows the answer to this in SF, I would appreciate it!
Yet Sun in Oakland’s Chinatown. I haven’t yet been in since their remodel, but this is a good place to get fresh duck. They do sell thigh and leg combos, I imagine the breasts are going elsewhere. It’s not Liberty Duck quality but its decent. I don’t know if one can still go up to Penngrove during the week and buy direct from Liberty Duck, it’s a much better price there than at retail outlets.
