Behold the "super foods"

…which predominantly seem to be powders and shakes. But at least they’re not super-processed. /s

I like how I’m seeing a Pepsi ad, up front and center.

“ Its data also shows that more than half of Generation X and millennial consumers have confidence in the MAHA movement when it comes to food.” - That is very discouraging

Blame the rise of influencers and the propensity to buy into trends.

I assume that is not the American Board of Pediatrics. Maybe an ad blocker?

Yeah, it’s Adblock Plus.

As one comment on the NYT article says “Influencers will say and do whatever generates views, aka money.”

And the concept of MAHA certainly isn’t new. A recent WH spouse promoted more active movement and better nutrition for our kids, but it was dismissed and called government overreach by others. Edith Wilson and Eleanor Roosevelt both promoted healthier eating for all, including meatless and wheatless meals (both during wartime, both, but still…) Chef Jamie Oliver was doing this back in 2005 for healthier eating in schools in Britain.

But some of those others didn’t have the “instant influencer ability” that the MAHA Girls have now.

To sum it up: everything is going to shit.

So the plan is to run the MAHA scheme through large corporations. And mostly powders and supplements? What could possibly go wrong? Or how could this be a scam? Weird food lobbyist friends of RFKJr?

BTW, American super food are fresh and, minimally processed or unprocessed beans, cabbage, spinach, berries and nuts. But there’s little profit or sexy ad campaigns with that stuff. Need the profits for sexy, inane marketing drivel and make people feel like it’s healthy.

There’s not a product or company listed in that “article” that I would buy or have purchased at any point.

We haven’t seen the real shit yet

Love this crap “Before there were pharmacies, there wee FARMS”; then shows pill bottles. Farm food in a bottle. When will we ever learn? :face_with_head_bandage:

One of my favorite bands.
