Or Xata by The Bruery (Placentia, CA) - Blonde Ale

What sounds like a dessert beer works out really well by combining the spices and hops of an ale with enough cinnamon, vanilla and lactose that you see the connection to horchata but don’t taste the sweetness. Very well made combination.

Murkside of the Moon by Shred Beer Company (Rocklin, CA) - NEIPA

This IPA changed quite a bit as it warmed up - first it had relatively little juiciness and very heavy dose of dankness with an unusual astringent, sharp flavor in the finish. But over time there is much more peach and orange flavors upfront and the dankness got smoother with floral notes on the background and no astringency and a dry, medium bitter finish - started as a disappointment but finished as a enjoyable hazy IPA

Alvarado Street Cold Pressed Hazy IPA. Very juicy. The description on the can is spot on - hints of peach, guava, mango, and orange.

Lord Hobo Crispy Boom (Woburn, MA 6% ABV)

A light drinking, dry hopped IPA. Perfect for the cookout I attended today and, overall, for drinking outside in almost 90 degree, somewhat humid New England summer weather.

technically not a beer, but tried these ciders on a whim and they’re not bad…

I have been looking for a good dry cider and not having any luck. Considering how the market has been booming, I figure there are good ones out there, I just have not found the ones I like yet.

What qualities did you enjoy about them?

Pulp Gold Label by. Fieldwork Brewing Company (Berkeley, CA) - NEIPA

Pulp is one of the well-known hazy IPAs from Fieldwork and the Gold Label one pushes it up a few notches with triple dry-hopping - very citrusy and juicy with tons of herbal, dank flavors and a nice dose of bitterness n the finish. Overall the OG Pulp feels a bit more balanced but still a good hazy

Green City by Other Half Brewing Company (Brooklyn, NY) - Hazy IPA

Classic hazy IPA with citrusy, grapefruit, orange flavors and peachy notes. Floral, with little bit of pine in the background and some dry, low-medium bitterness. Very smooth/creamy mouthfeel from
the oats. Overall good, solid but perhaps “too” middle-of-the-road IPA

Kettle Cooler 3X by Alvarado Street Brewing (Monterey, CA) - Imperial Fruited Sour

Excellent balance of pineapple and orange flavors with a strong dose of tartness. Very refreshing. The only improvement would be not using kettle sourness to add some more funk to the beer

Immortal Fog by Slice Beer Company (Lincoln, CA) - Hazy IPA

Hazy IPA that has your expected tropical (peach, pineapple, lime) flavors but isn’t very sweet and gets a quite dank turn in the second half of the sip with a dry and quite bitter finish. Smooth mouthfeel.

Saint Thomas O.G. by Fieldwork Brewing Company (Berkeley, CA) - IPA

Rather classical mosaic WC IPA with clean flavors of citrus (grapefruit, lime, lemon) and blueberry with hints of peach in the background. Followed by grassy, piney and dank flavors with dry, medium bitter finish. Surprising soft mouthfeel.

Bistro Pineapple Banana Cream Pie by Energy City Brewing (Batavia, IL) - Fruited Berliner Weisse

As someone who likes banana cream pie, this Berliner Weisse was a great liquid dessert. Good banana and vanilla flavors with an extra dose of slight sweetness and tartness from the pineapple. The sour balanced the overall sweetness but could have been a bit more aggressive.

Hazy Single Cuff from Wondrous out of Emeryville, CA. A very hazy IPA from a usually lager focused brewery. Lots of tropical fruit. I like it.

Boss Jacket from Revolution Brewing out of Chicago - a barleywine aged in rye barrels. Nice and balanced, raisin-y, doesn’t taste super boozy.

Dank Material by North Park Beer Company (San Diego, CA) - IPA

The name clearly shows the direction of the IPA - “classical” WCIPA with mainly citrus notes upfront followed by first floral then tons of piney, dank flavors and a dry medium bitter finish. Really enjoyed the focus on dankness on this IPA

Everybody Wants Some “Citra” by Hoof Hearted Brewing (Marengo, OH) - Hazy TIPA

Citra hops are described as citrus forward (lime, grapefruit) coupled with tropical aromas (mango, papaya, pineapple) and a floral, slightly spicy “bite” which pretty much describes this single hops NETIPA. The dry, low bitterness finish and the oats addition make it very drinkable and it hides its ABV quite well

Major League Skazeball by Alvarado Street Brewery (Monterey, CA) and Highland Park Brewery (Los Angeles, CA) - Hazy DIPA

Very fruit/tropical-forward hazy IPA with tons of peach, pineapple, cantaloupe, papaya and orange flavors which are not overly sweet and are really the backbone of this IPA. There is only a short burst of dank flavors towards the end of the sip with some added piney notes and a dry, low bitterness finish. Good hot summer day IPA which borders on being too fruit-forward but the dank notes help to break the sameness

The “T”, DDH West Coast IPA from Wondrous out of Emeryville, CA. Very hoppy, I like it.
