Making stock is how I relax on weekends. As my posting says I can’t a reliable source of beef bones that don’t cost the world. Oxtails are expensive these days. When I was a kid the butcher gave my mom all she wanted for free. Anywhere I can go on the Penisula in my quest? TIA.
I no longer live in the BA but saw your post. I think the days of free or cheap bones are over. Too many of us have discovered the joys of good stock. Good luck.
Try asking Mexican carnicerias or meat counters at places like Chavez.
Try Mexican Markets for bones. Asian markets have bones too but mostly chicken and pork and they are not cheap.
