Wait, what? There’s nothing ‘secret’ or ‘little known’ about ‘siu yeh’ in Hong Kong. I feel the title and the summary let down an otherwise decent article because it exaggerated inaccurately a meal that has been around for forever. It did get me to click on the article to see if there is a meal there that I am not aware of despite living there for years.

I like the image of wooden junk boats sailing across the harbour…I think there is still one with sails but it motors across the harbour as it does its tourist sunset cruise (owned by a nightclub group I think.
