The chef’s life in brief. Particularly recommended for folks who haven’t read his excellent memoir, The Apprentice.
Interesting that this should be a BBC programme, as Pepin is pretty much unknown in the UK. Even though I’ve had an interest in food for most of my adult life and have regularly travelled to America since 1980, it was only in 2017 when I came across him (he is the food “consultant” to Oceania Cruises who we sailed with for a holiday that year).
Great to call this out. I so enjoyed that book.
I love Jacque Pepin, and not just because his name is fun to pronounce, especially when you want to make an over-exaggerated French accent. I’ll always remember him for his online video that taught me to spatchcock and also debone chicken like a pro.
Truly an icon while still being approachable. I particularly like his “Fast Food My Way” series.
Wow. Interesting.
