Can someone recommend a good bagel place in Philadelphia, preferably in or near Center City? My godson is missing the bagels he used to get in NJ.

Spread Bagelry has Montreal-style bagels. I’ve never been to Montreal – so I haven’t had the real thing – but they sell a good product, whether you consider it a bagel or not. They have a location near Rittenhouse Square. Yesterday we were are the West Philadelphia (or maybe it’s called University City) location, but we’ve been to the Rittenhouse location before. Both locations actually have their own wood burning oven, which is rare. Usually one location of an establishment will bake and ship to the other locaitons.
