But really, some are complaining about the price? ¥2,590 = £13.05 = about $17.50 USD. A large Whopper is ¥890 / £4.47 / $6.00 USD. You’re getting FOUR more burger patties, four slices of cheese, bacon, and the other usual toppings.
So unless I’m totally screwing up the conversion rates, I’m not seeing the prices for the Sumo to be all that far off.

I used to get the Double Whopper when I was much younger. I am not sure I could eat that much in one sitting now.

Gotta give them credit for 5 patties…but US has its own monstrosities. Best the US can do is Quadruple Baconator from Wendy’s and In ‘n Out 4x4.

I used to only ever get the Jr. Whopper with cheese, until one late evening after recording our CD at the music school, and I found myself starving. BK was the only thing open at 10pm, and I ordered a double with cheese. A single would’ve sufficed, but it was delicious. Too much, but delicious.

When I lived in a bigger city, I loved my local BK. Fresh oil in the fryer, some love there. Where I live now, the BK is only good if you want a beg o weed from the drive thru. I loved Whoppers, and the veal parm of old. Damn, I liked that veal parm sammy.
