Maybe the gray and black (in the picture) are washing each other out on your monitor.
I’m seeing a gray & black globe with flames around it with the word “Cool?”
Maybe try a more colorful avatar and see if you can see that??

I USED to see @linguafood 's avatar. Now I’m seeing the gray head. Just showed up yesterday.

I don’t think it’s Chrome, as that’s the browser I’m using. Maybe it’s an issue with the mobile app?

Yup. I see it in the right hand corner of my comments, but not on the left. Just that rather unflattering, bland, boring gray blob. The same ugly-ass blog shows up on my own profile page. It’s rather bizarre.
I’ll see if I can find something more colorful to break through this random nonsense

I have encountered the same issue personally when i changed profile pic recently as well. fiddled around a little bit and didn’t have a solution except to change to yet another profile pic.
if you look at the screenshot above. the profile pic on the upper right links to the same picture file as the profile pic in the topic itself. so no idea why one loads but not the other.
