Yes, it is an actual farm. And it does have a handful of animals in pens that the little people obviously like to look at. The bigger people with them tend to be more interested in looking out for the piles of shit that are inherent with such places.
We’d been to Rode Hall to look at their snowdrops (well worth a visit for anyone in the area at this time of year). So, it was then time for lunch. Rode Hall does have a café but it’s mainly a coffee and cake sort of place. Which is why we had lunch at Glebe Farm. Again, we’d stopped there initially for the farm shop and associated butchers and fishmongers. Bought some seabass and plaice from the one, a piece of brisket from the other and some jam and oatcakes from the shop.
As to lunch, it’s a short menu. Sandwiches, wraps and a handful of more substantial offerings. So that was a couple of oatcakes filled with cheese and a tomato chutney. Comes with a handful of salad. A burger also came with salad (and coleslaw and handcut chips). And on a brioche bun which managed not to fall apart while I was eating it. Both perfectly decent plates of food.
