Having had a chef as a housemate for several years…
When busy season hits, he just consumes calories because he doesn’t want be back in the kitchen when he just left the kitchen. Shower, eat, crumble into bed and go spend another 10 hours in the kitchen.
When hes testing new recipes its anybody’s guess what shows up on the table at home.
Slow season was always the best…that’s when he just got creative and fell down all sorts of rabbit holes. Braises, stews, risotto, and creamy polenta were all in regular rotation

But I haven’t lived with him, so can’t speak to his habits. Just telling you what this particular one does.
