I love John Thorne. I am absolutely a pot and pan cook.

I am a little surprised by the results – that is we have more people responding that they are “knife” cooks than they are “pan and pot” cooks.

The reason is that when I am at a cookware store or department store, I see many more people looking at pots and pans than looking at knives. So it seems more people are thinking about upgrading pots and pans instead of knives.

The alternative way to look at is that people are in generally happy with their knives (not that they don’t care), so they are not thinking about upgrading the knives.

Well, you are on Hungry Onion. Folks here aren’t your average department store shoppers.
