Anyone stocking up specific items in anticipation of prices sharply increasing?

Adding cocoa and chocolate chips to my list
And maybe another bottle of olive oil for cakes

I’m getting vanilla extract from Costco

Adding to my list!

I don’t know their cocoa brand or I would add that.

Costco to the rescue

Well the unit price looks good, but I assume this is for people anticipating a very long four years.

Feels like it’s been more than that already :face_with_peeking_eye:

If I bought this and divey-ed up amongst friends and family for Christmas, what kind of power saw should I use?

Stopped by TJs today for the usual resupply of the foods. The wine selection was rather picked over. I grabbed a few extra bottles of. NZ blancs as that’s my preferred weeknight wine

Good amount of coconut milk there but I grabbed a few extra cans

I bought a bucket (about1.5lb) of Maldon salt at Costco earlier this year for about $8. I expect it to last quite a while.
Cento tomatoes are THE BOMB!

This Liquid Gold garlic crisp is so delicious… a friend of mine gifts me a jar of two on my birthday and Christmas. Not on the list, but it should be. MMMMMM…

I just bought a bucket, too. Now I’m set!

Me for the booze, also. I am sitting on a case of French cognac ATM.

I would say you have another 90 days to stock up on most stuff, but the Don could change his mind again tomorrow. (And I don’t trust most food from China, so raising their tariff to 125% doesn’t mean much to me. YMMV.)

Ah, but non-food items from China will go up as well.

Check the headlines, folks. You may cease stockpiling. Temporarily. Or not! Who the hell knows what’s going on. (Hint: no one. No, not him, definitely not him.)

Or sooner, as it turns out.
