That looks better than the previous photo did. Same lighting? Old photographer asking here, but it looks like it is. The prior photo had something that could have been either a breach in the enamel or something burned on, but it’s gone now, so I guess it was the latter.
Yes, same camera on my phone, but maybe a little towards evening, so less daylight?
Correct, the dark bits on the base and the darker ring a little up the sides felt perfectly smooth but were in fact ancient cooking residue. The “Mr Muscle” oven cleaning spray and steel scrubby dealt really well with that. I’ll do no more for fear of spoiling it. Oxtail stewed in it for 4 hours fed 8 hungry adults yesterday, so I’ll take that as a win!
