Tonight I ordered and enjoyed an “Imperial Cider”, whatever that means (aside from being 8.5% ABV). I wonder whose Empire gave it lineage. An English king’s? A Czarina’s? Maybe Bonaparte’s? Was its carbonation delivered from a Hapsburg artesian well?
And how DO you get an apple cider to that ABV with a Cremant-like spritz without chaptalizing it? Alert the tax authorities!
Local news reported last week that the real estate is up for sale, but no mention of the business. I haven’t heard anything about the employees who were trying to put together a bid to purchase it.
