My favorite spot for Persian in the DC area, it is probably now better than ever. We had a tremendous meal. We ordered:
Mirza Ghosemi (minced eggplant)
tahdig topped with geymeh bademjen
torshi
lamb chimichuri kabob, ordered with shirin polo (barberries, carrot, almond).
The lamb chimichuri is certainly not traditional, but it was fantastic. Everything else was the best of its kind. Now they serve their dishes with fluffy, freshly baked pita.
Still great 15 years later! Ghormeh sabzi was smaller and the meat drier than I remember, but still pretty good. Haven’t yet found my Ghormeh Sabzi north star, always open to suggestions…
