I have been trying to figure out if this warrants a post, given it’s breadth and limitations, but I’m doing it
In Seattle staying at the Fairmont with breakfast and doing a chef led tour at Pikes. I pouted until husband cancelled a chocolate tour the same day. I found a few '24 and '25 Seattle threads, but not many my-family friendly options downtown as I’d like, but we used those and made reservations at Matt’s.
“We” also made reservations for Bao Bei and Homer Street Cafe in Vancouver. I think we are staying at one of the Fairmonts there, or maybe The Georgia, also with breakfast.
We will be traveling the inner passage on Celebrity Edge with excursions in Juneu, Skagway and Ketchikan, and getting ideas from YouTube reviews. Lots of crab legs and salmon!
I took a panhandle cruise in 2005. You’ll love it!
We did Chinese food in Vancouver with our friends who came on the cruise with us, who live in the burbs of Vancouver.
During one of our stops, I can’t remember if it was Skagway or Ketchikan, some of the cruise staff were making a beeline for a food truck. It turns out it was selling fresh local shrimp. Maybe keep an eye on where the staff are headed , or ask for tips from them, when you visit your stops.
Are you only here for 1 day? Do you know the itinerary of the Market tour? World Spice is good if you need any teas or spices, and husband can do a mini chocolate tour with Fran’s, Indi, and Seleuss.
Two days. We are doing a “Best of Seattle” driving tour the first day. I have the itinerary somewhere, and there is ample chocolate, but I will check for Fran’s, Indi, and Seleuss. Thanks!
