Take out only sushi. They open at 11 and close when they sell out, but you can also preorder boxes. The sushi is premade - like grocery store sushi, but much more high end. We got the Omakase $54 (10 piece of nigiri and 6 pieces maki roll) and 6 piece nigiri with maki roll - $28. Pretty reasonable for the amount and variety is sushi. We got there when they opened at 11 and there was an about 25 people in line, but it moved fairly quickly and seems like they had plenty of boxes. It was good, but didn’t really excite me much that I would go out of my way to have it again.
Tongue dropped onto counter. Cute little koi(?) sauce dispenser.
You can pick those up at just about any Japanese market in the US, most pan-Asian markets, and even at Daiso. They are cute, but a pain to wash, although they’re intended to be a one-and-done thing.
Very attractive sushi! What are the hosomaki? Avocado, maguro, and saba (yakizakana)? I’m not a fan of take-out sushi, but if I were, I’d want it all to look like this.
I think that’a right.
Yeah it’s obviously not going to be as good as fresh prepared sushi, but it’s a good concept I think, it allows people to get higher end sushi at a much cheaper cost than eating in. I’m not a sushi geek so I’d be curious to hear other’s take on their sushi. They had a box with uni and some fancier tuna that was $72.
Funny I was wondering if they bought these pre-filled or actually had to fill them!
I have never seen them filled in a store, although for food service, they may come pre-filled.
