In a surprising turn of events, AeroGarden, the beloved brand that brought hydroponic gardening to countless homes, announced its return in Spring 2025. After closing its doors in late 2024, many assumed it was the end of an era. But now, AeroGarden...
I thought there had been mention of there going out of business here, but I couldn’t find it. I have been using them for years, and was starting to worry about having to replace the lights.

Aji Amarillo and Scotch Bonnet “Jean” seedlings in an aerogarden. The Scotch Bonnet are the smaller ones, and they are all about 18 days from seeding.
In a week or so I hope to start tomatoes and ann peppers.
I just started another batch of Scotch Bonnet “Jean”, but I think I am too late this year.

I had one of the first ones ever. Didn’t produce enough for me; I could decimate the crop in one meal.

Understood! I use them to speed up seed starting before planting out. About 10 years ago they started selling seed starter inserts.
I don’t think they ever made one for my oldest one, in the back on the left in the first picture, but here’s the one for the Aerogarden Harvest model.
My oldest one, with the “regular” garden insert and Aji Amarillo pepper seedings.
The Bounty Seed starter is in the first picture on the right. Here it is with basil, from one of the links above.
