I’ve seen Aedan’s miso around in stores and I think they have a stand at the Ferry Building Farmer’s Market, but I had no idea the production facility was in the Mission, and apparently has been open for 2 years now. It’s tucked away on York near 18th, across from Bobo’s Bistro. Open for lunch on weekdays with bento boxes, which come with a small amount of soup or amazake based drinks. I liked the drink enough to grab a bottle for later. Bento has options of chicken/beef/salmon, plus a special that I didn’t ask about. No seating inside, but there’s a bench/planter box outside. I’d just finished lunch so I’ve only nibbled on the bento so far, but it definitely seems worthwhile. They also have all their koji products for sale.
