My wife and I are supposed to spend Thanksgiving in Charleston, SC but due to cost considerations, we’re thinking about flying down to Mexico instead to spend a few days lounging along the coast. I’ve never been to Acapulco and have long wanted to visit, but from what minimal research I’ve done, it doesn’t seem to be the most interesting food city. I guess high poverty/crime coupled with exclusive family resorts all concentrated in the tourist zone don’t help. Has anyone been to Acapulco recently? I’d really appreciate some insight into the food/restaurant scene.
