Aangara Indidan in Keyport

An Indian Restaurant has opened in Keyport in the space of the former Cornucopia and Ovidia Restaurants. We’ve tried several of the chicken dishes, malai kofta, veg pulav, and naans. Everything was wonderful and the service was also very good. We will definitely be regulars.

We have enjoyed two meals here so far. A difficult location given most popular restaurants in Keyport are in downtown. BUT, so many pluses, we are keeping our fingers crossed for the owners and staff. It’s a casual, quiet, clean, spot with its own parking.

Okay-menu. Get the mixed tandoori grill-big sizzling platter, tender protein mix best buy-delish as all get out. Both the veg samosa and stuffed samosa are flavorful and a generous portioned appetizer. Don’t miss the crispy shrimp app-6 jumbo pieces with a great crunch and sauce drizzle. The garlic naan, pillowy and fresh to order. Veg biryani-loaded with a veg mix in a rich spicy sauce. Mango lassi-lucuious. Kulfi trio platter-amazing frozen dessert flavors. Lots of dipping sauces. BYOB.

Spice level adjusted to preference. $70-80. range before tip for 5-6 dishes.
A wonderful addition to the dining scene.
