A reopened Ibai, San Sebastián

From 7 Caníbales and the Diario Vasco today,

The Argentinian chef, Paulo Airaudo, of the two Michelin-starred Amelia in the Hotel Villa Favorita, has decided to sign the contract to reopen the legendary Ibai, that chef Alicio Garro and his wife closed several years ago and to revive its spirit.

When it opens it will serve lunch only, Monday-Friday, and according to 7 Caníbales, with the same time honored recipes and perhaps with Alicio making an occasional appearance to make sure that the new Ibai honors its past.
The wines will be in the hands of Martín Flea, the former sommelier of Rekondo.

As soon as it reopens, I’ll follow up.

Great news, Maribel!! Thank you! Will it be in the former location?

@erica1,
Yes, it’s the same location, the same basement dining room. Airaudo doesn’t plan to change the décor either.
