Long time North End/Richmond Street, Villa Francesca doesn’t get much love on this or the “other” food site. But Saturday night we left there very happy. Started with their lobster raviolis in a chopped shrimp and cream sauce with herbs. We think these are the best in the city. We sopped up every last drop of the sauce. Next was the house salad (simple greens, no iceberg), in a champagne vinegarette dressing. Absolutely delicious! My wife had chicken carrozella (sauteed breast meat with artichokes and mozzorella in a white whine sauce). Mine was shrimp and clams over fettuchini in a fra diavolo sauce. The clam were fresh and perfectly cooked. We’ll be going back soon. Oh, don’t forget the fresh filled canolis for desert.
