There’s a lot of good in this world. Easy to forget sometimes.

There is. I’ve written about this project a goodly while back but worth of another mention. The Clink restaurant operates at the women’s prison just up the road from me. Both kitchen and front-of-house crews are prisoners. They’re nearing the end of their sentences and working towards recognised national qualifications which, hopefully, will help them get a job after release. We’ve not been for a while but the food was always decent and we really should go back. The crew are happy to answer casual questions about their work in the restaurant - but nothing too personal and deffo no questions about what crime they’d committed (most will be drug related, for sure). FWIW, “Clink” is centuries old British slang for prison.

The charity works at a few prisons.
