Following a fellow foodie’s
footsteps and recommendation. Our party of three had an amazingly priced, truly fine, quality steak-centric dinner at this relatively new, ‘cozy‘ restaurant. Coupled with impeccable service provided by a team of friendly and helpful lady servers. Our enjoyable dining experience was unexpectedly close to perfection….extremely uncommon for a casual, Chinese operated restaurant!
For only $145 excluding tips, our meal consisted of the following incredible array of delicious and generous dishes:
- Garlic toasts
- New England Clam Chowder
- Lobster Bisque with cream and Cognac ( Gorgeous rendition, extremely
flavourful! ) - Hong Kong Style Russian Borscht
- Half dozen Effingham, BC oysters on the shell
- Charbroiled 12 oz AAA Ribeye Steak ( cooked rare ) paired with Asparagus,
Grilled Red Peppers , Mash Potato & Gravy ( perfectly cooked, tender meat
with super smokey charcoal aroma ) - Charbroiled 10 oz AAA Striploin Steak ( cooked rare )…again paired with the
above sides - Spicy Seared Beef and Bolognese Spaghetti ( delicious, but not as spicy as our
server’s exaggerated warning! ) - Hong Kong Milk Tea
- Iced Coffee
Every one of the above dishes were excellently prepared and executed……a rarity? However, to me, what was indeed rare was that, in this day and age of ‘ hyper-inflation ‘, one can still get a truly value-for-money meal of this caliber, quality and price?!
