That is so true. We ate at a steakhouse near us (awful) twice and the steaks had no taste. The manager came over and we told him how we felt. His response? Well, we’re very popular. My response? So is pizza hut.
That always irks me when a manager gets defensive by saying things like that, ignoring any problems and implying that it’s us who have the issues. Awful. I’ll take a sans ambiance hole-in-the-wall gem of a meal over a flashy setting with no substance any day.
