Found my perfect birthday drink
OOOOOOOOOOOOOH. I’d raise a glass of that and toast your birthday! Cheers to another trip around the sun!
That coffee liqueur of theirs is excellent
As you can see I do enjoy it.
Went there for the first time last week. It was charming and odd.
I ordered a gin martini. Bartender said they had two kinds of gin and offered to let me sample each. Sure! One was worse than the other, but not wanting to be rude, asked for the lesser of two evils to be made into a martini, up. His response was: “I think you should look at our drink menu. We have a lot of cool drinks on there.” I looked. I still asked for a gin martini. The expression on his face was one of, “Are really sure you want to do that?”
I ordered. He left. He came back. “Our martini has pickles and pickle brine. Do you want that?” No, says I. Just a gin martini up. Sensing I was now becoming a pain in the ass, which is something I strive not to be ever, I was not about to ask if they had olives.
He came back again. “Do you want vermouth?” I said just a drop. He left. He came back again. “I’m just going to have the owner make your drink to make sure we get it right.”
I wanted to be like, dude just fill a glass with gin!
Anyway, it was okay. Their gin was better a la martini than when I had the sample. I also allowed that this was Soviet-themed and perhaps it was not supposed to be a homerun.
Rigamarole aside, I’d go back. The Lenin-inspired vibes were chillaxed.
My friend had some kind of vodka and spiced cranberry concoction. Said he enjoyed.
It’s an odd place for sure. The first time I was there I was flying solo so no cocktails for me but I took the “ tour “ I found most of their brews utterly undrinkable until I was offered the Koffeee liqueur. Loved it . Their cocktail menu was not anything special at the time but I am a regular fan of the Koffee liqueur. That’s why I found your post interesting
As I think I mentioned somewhere on this board, and know I mentioned to @gcaggiano on another platform, 3BR is one of The Sprout’s favorite distilleries. She finds their pea-based liquors “interesting” but she loves the vibe there. She participated in one of their gin making events and had a good time. Decent gin too.

We had a bottle of this. I thought it almost undrinkable on its own but was ok in a bloody mary.
Tried it at the Ho down at Family Tavola it was disgusting in my opinion but to each their own
I won’t be buying it again
I’ve been here a bunch of times. BYOF is very nice, I go to ShopRite and make myself a little deli pack.
Make sure to check Groupon, they have great Groupon deals!
Also, the best part of their cocktail is the dry fruit! It’s totally edible make sure not to throw it out.
Their Limecello is really good, and the chili liqueur is pretty fun. As for the other spirits they are good, but I can’t say if it’s better or worse than your favorite standard commercial item. I had some favorite cocktails but it looks like they may have been rotated out.
Thanks for the heads up
I should check out your recommendations
