2026 Spring Holidays -- Easter, Passover, and more

Easter crept up quickly!

Two travel Easters for me: family the first weekend, and then Greek Easter with my friendโ€™s family the following weekend.

Just booked my tickets, so of course now Iโ€™m thinking about what food to carry with me :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:.

Easter weekend ideas โ€“ for apps, maybe a main, and something sweet for the various kids and my aunt:
โ€“ Salmon mousse or tuna spuma with crostini or pita chips
โ€“ Quiche or Tortilla Espanola
โ€“ Puff pastry spirals or puffs (kheema? shredded Kerala-style beef? Bombay sandwich / masala potato?)
โ€“ Apero bread / savory cheese quickbread of some sort (the spinach version adapted from Chetna Makan went over very well last year)
โ€“ Hot milk sponge cakes โ€“ sandwiched with jam or as a swiss roll (have to test the latter out first)
โ€“ Gravlax for my aunt

Greek Easter ideas โ€“ for snacks for while the lamb roasts, plus something sweet for the hostess:
โ€“ Gougeres with something dippy (not sure how theyโ€™ll like the fish dips, have to ask my friend)
โ€“ Gravlax with crostini and lemon spread
โ€“ Kheema puffs or spirals (I think they might enjoy like the kyma / kheema crossover)
โ€“ Deviled eggs
โ€“ Cardamom coffee tiger cake (for the hostess)

Still noodling.
